After early years in technical sales with ICI, Fiona progressed through a range of marketing positions, including a number of demanding product management roles in various ICI and Zeneca businesses. She set up a new marketing team in Germany, which was responsible for the first launch globally of a key new product. She then had global responsibility for one of Zeneca's biggest brands - turning over around $450 million per year. This involved providing strategic leadership to the global R&D and manufacturing functions and to marketing & sales organisations worldwide especially in Asia Pacific. She has led and facilitated major marketing initiatives to enable continued growth of a mature product in an increasingly generic market - particularly global branding, image enhancement and packaging system innovation.
Fiona has been actively involved in local business & community issues for a number of years, both as an advisor and an implementor. Activities have included:
Fiona has an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge and a range of technical advisory qualifications in crop protection.
Include keeping fit, renovating houses (though she's going off this one!) driving fast cars, and fighting a constant battle against Aegopodium podagraria in the garden.
